NRI died at Mumbai International Airport
Mumbai, Jan 24: An elderly NRI passenger died at the city airport soon after arriving here on a Malaysian Airlines flight, officials said . The 69-year-old passenger, identified as Girdharimal Jagjivan, arrived here last night and had cleared immigration when he collapsed, a spokesperson for the Mumbai International Airport limited said. Family members alleged medical negligence on part of the airport, a charge that was denied by the airport authorities, who said all possible treatment had been provided to the passenger. However, custom officials said that they called a doctor present at the airport at about 11:15 pm and also a co-passenger, who was a doctor, to provide him treatment.
